Writing on his own website (NeilPatel.com), Neil Patel uncovers an organic traffic opportunity which very few internet marketers are considering: Google Image Search.
What if the biggest source of your SEO traffic wasn’t from the front page of Google? At least, not the front page exactly. Imagine that there was a backdoor of sorts that could lead to a healthy amount of organic traffic. It’s a completely legal, whitehat SEO backdoor too, so there’s no chance you’ll be penalized.
After providing a brief summary of the evolution of Google Image Search over the past several years and why it is such an intriguing and yet untapped opportunity for internet marketers, Neil recommends four ways of optimizing your website for image search. Of those four recommendations, my company routinely follows one recommendation, follows another recommendation but we could do a much better job, and does not follow the other two recommendations at all. So when I’m back in the office (I’m currently on vacation), I’ll need to add these items to our overall department project list. Thanks Neil!
