Writing for Practical Ecommerce, Gagan Mehra tells us that real-time pricing technology can now be afforded by more than the big ecommerce players, citing increased revenue, improved loyalty, and more profit as the benefits of real-time pricing.
Larger companies, such as Amazon, Jet, and Sears, continually adjust prices in real time. Now smaller merchants can also benefit from real-time pricing and promotions.
In a section about how small retailers can implement real-time pricing, Gagan provides a brief introduction to four different vendors offering such technology. They definitely seem worth checking out, and I’ve added an item on my task list to investigate further.
February 14, 2018 Update: Of the four companies Gagan mentions in his article, three appear to be active, but Suzu’s website is currently unavailable and their social media profiles (Twitter and LinkedIn at least) have not been updated recently, so I’m not sure of their current status.
