Orion introduces new products several times throughout the year. Given that there are several online channels (our US/Canada and European websites, seven different Amazon websites, and Walmart), multiple marketing channels which require inclusion in XML product feeds (comparison shopping engines, affiliate programs, and remarketing partners), and more than one internal product/content management tools, the process to do so is somewhat complex and involves several departments.
To ensure that the internet marketing department correctly completes its tasks for each new product, I have created several checklists and standard operating procedures. Samples of such documents follow.
Sample NPI Checklists
In this file, you will find several sample checklists I have created, including checklists used for adding a new product to our US/Canada website, for adding a new product family to our US/Canada website, for adding a new product to our European websites, and for adding a new product to our Amazon channels in Europe.
Sample Procedure
In this file, you will find a sample procedure for adding one of our new products to our Amazon channels in Europe. As our order management system and content management systems are proprietary, I have blurred the screenshots of those programs.
